Village & POA Rules

🏊 POOL

Our pool and facilities are intended for use only by Sweetbay village residents and their guests. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Pool hours are dawn to dusk. Food is allowed but homeowners and guests must clean up from themselves and take any garbage with them. No glass is allowed inside the fenced area. Umbrellas should be collapsed when leaving the pool area.

🔑 GARAGE & CART DOORS

Garage and golf cart storage doors shall be closed at all times, except as needed for ingress and egress, or when cleaning or working in the garage.

🚗 DRIVEWAY PARKING

Pick-up trucks, other four wheeled vehicles, boats, motor homes, motorcycles are to be parked inside a garage or placed in a special (non-residential) area assigned for these types of vehicles.

Where garages are provided, all vehicles owned by a resident must be housed therein on the resident’s property, i.e. two cars in two-car garages, etc. In the event a member owns additional vehicles which do not fit in the garage, that vehicle may be parked in the driveway only if the garage interior has been cleared sufficiently to allow the number of vehicles in which the garage is specified to accommodate to be parked inside. This will require approval from the Director of POA and a request form is available at the upstairs Clubhouse Reception Desk or on the Harbour Ridge website.

⛲ FRONT COURTYARDS

A front courtyard area is defined as the open space outside of the front entry door, but not to exceed past the shortest wall, extending to the front yard on either side of the courtyard.

A SINGLE OUTDOOR BENCH may be placed on the front patio, as long as it is kept within the defined courtyard area.

SCULPTURES, BIRD BATHS, FIGURINES, SUN DIALS OR OTHER SIMILAR ITEMS may be installed in the front courtyard area with Village Board and ARB approval. These items must be screened from neighbor and road views.

(If you currently have any of the above-mentioned items and have not submitted a prior request, an ARB Request form is required and must be reviewed by the Village Board. Final approval rests with the ARB.)

📫 PATIOS WITH SCREEN ENCLOSURES

PATIO FURNITURE, UMBRELLAS, SCULPTURES, GRILLS & CASUAL LIGHTING are permitted within screened enclosures. Casual lighting should not interfere with neighbors.

📬 PATIOS WITHOUT SCREEN ENCLOSURES

PATIO FURNITURE AND GRILLS are permitted on patios that are not enclosed. When not in use grills must be covered with a neutral colored cover (black, tan or gray) or the grill may be stored within the garage.

UMBRELLAS & SCULPTURES are permitted subject to ARB approval.

🎄 HOLIDAY LIGHTING

Holiday lighting may be affixed to shrubbery or trees during Christmas, holidays, or other special occasions, providing that the shrubbery or trees are in close proximity to the home. Electric cords should not be visible from the street and may not run across lawns due to required landscape maintenance.

No wired temporary lighting may be affixed to the exterior of a home with the exception of battery-powered wreaths that may be attached to entrance doors and adjacent to cart and garage doors during Christmas, holidays or other special occasions.

🌻 FLOWERS

HANGING BASKETS, FLOWERPOTS OR DECORATIVE ITEMS must be removed when the homeowner is not in residence or within 48 hours of an impending named storm.

PLANTING OF ANNUAL FLOWERS is discouraged except in rear yard locations or entrance/privacy areas because of year-round maintenance requirements and irrigation considerations. Any installation of annuals by homeowners must be maintained by the homeowner and removed seasonally. Harbour Ridge’s Grounds Maintenance Department is not responsible for planting, maintaining, or removing annuals in private home settings.
