The Sweetbay Village Board terms for Dennis Wallrath and Gordy Schnabel end in March. Dennis Wallrath has indicated that he wishes to continue with another 3-year term. Gordy Schabel will be stepping down after dedicated service helping Sweetbay Village continue to grow and be the special place that it is.

We are seeking nominations for the Village Board. If you would like to be considered for nomination, please keep readingĀ to find out how to join this group of collaborative and community-minded people!

Responsibilities:
The Board is charged with keeping things running smoothly in Sweetbay so that you can relax and enjoy this special place. We are charged with āengaging in activities for the benefit, use, convenience and enjoyment of its members.ā This includes making financial/budgetary decisions; promoting, assisting and providing proper maintenance of both our land and facilities; controlling and regulating use of our amenities; appointing and heading committees, as needed.

Time Commitment:
We meet in person or through Zoom approximately once per month from November until May, and once or twice during the off-season. Additional time is necessary for email responses and possible committee work. Board members serve a 3-year term.

The information sheet should describe the reasons for your interest in becoming a Board member as well as your background, education, qualifications and any other factors deemed relevant.

The process:
The Board will gather and review all submissions to recommend the most qualified candidate(s). Homeowners will have the opportunity to elect the recommended candidate(s) by ballot provided prior to our Village Annual Meeting onĀ Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 4:00 pmĀ at the clubhouse. |
